How to insert mentions
To mention a User and send him the notification of the mention it is sufficient, as on Twitter, to type @ and the first letters of the username, the names with those letters will appear and you will have to select the one you are interested in.
The User will receive a facebook-style notification that will appear at the top right next to the User menu
