Eumans drafted the first bill proposal introducing civic assemblies drawn by lot in Italy with the technical support of Mario Staderini from the social promotion association Prossima Democrazia (‘Next Democracy’), the Luca Coscioni Association, and the National Group for the Assemblies of Citizens of Extinction Rebellion.
The proposal was submitted to the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate thanks to a cross-party group of parliamentarians, namely MPs Marianna Madia and Lia Quartapelle (PD), Riccardo Magi (Più Europa), Giulia Pastorella (Azione), Luana Zanella (Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra), and Senator Ivan Scalfarotto (Italia Viva).
