STOP SUBSIDING INTENSIVE FARMS
The European Union, through the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), funds intensive farming with millions of euros every year.
Public money, from our taxes, ends up in facilities that destroy the environment, contribute to the climate crisis, harm local communities, and rely on the exploitation of animals and workers. All this, just for the profit of a few, at the expense of the collective.
We cannot allow politicians and governments to continue on this path. That’s why some citizens of Eumans have launched the initiative “Stop subsidies for intensive farming.”
TO STOP FUNDING FOR INTENSIVE FARMING, WE MUST MOBILIZE ALL OF US: JOIN OUR INITIATIVE!

What we ask
1)STOP THE SUBSIDIES
We demand the immediate exclusion of intensive farming from CAP subsidy beneficiaries and the extension of the emissions trading system to agriculture by 2028.
2)MORATORIUM ON NEW FARMS
Establish a plan for converting intensive farms through a moratorium.
3)EUROPEAN CIVIC ASSEMBLY
With the goal of defining a sustainable agricultural policy: we believe a European Civic Assembly focused on the CAP is necessary to address the distribution of public subsidies to intensive farming and promote the transition to a more sustainable model.

The documentary exposing the issue
The initiative to stop public funding for farms was launched alongside the investigative documentary Food for Profit, by Giulia Innocenzi and Pablo D’Ambrosi. This is the first documentary to show the connection between the meat industry, lobby groups, and political power.
At the center are the billions of euros that Europe allocates to intensive farming, which mistreats animals, pollutes the environment, and poses a threat for future pandemics.
“It’s unfair that public money funds a cruel and unsustainable system that harms the collective good.”
